Overall, the patterns seem relatively simple and some seem to re-purpose garments to complete the sewing project. If you have basic sewing skills you may find the book's sewing patterns a bit confusing. It would have helped to have larger images, instead of the small images found in the book, to help guide the novice sewer.
Recommend with caveats given.

I'm glad it's free. If I'd paid for it, I'd be upset. These patterns are free on her website, she even sends you there to get the pattern for the blue dress pictured. If what's she's trying to do is advertise her blog, then she's succeeded, otherwise, I see no point in this ebook. If I wasn't already following her blog then these are nice to get patterns. You have to be able to sew to follow her instructions for the orange dress. She doesn't tell you how to do some steps, she assumes you know.
Nothing extraordinary, but there are some cute ideas in here to DIY some summer items. Practical instruction is lacking a little on a few of the designs. A good place to start of you have never seen before but would like to make and wear something of your own!
This book is simply great. The instructions are very easy to follow. I love the idea of using existing garments as sizing patterns since this makes cutting so much easier. I wish other sewing tutorials were as easy to follow and make. I give this book a great big two thumbs up!
This is a book full of fun designs that you can make pretty quickly as an experienced sewer or in a few hours as a beginner. The book is full of pictures that compliment the written instructions perfectly. These patterns are pretty much "do it yourself" from your own existing clothes, which I love because it allows you to be extra creative. I think this book will allow people who are new to sewing to gain confidence to make things on their own and take chances with different fabrics and designs. Highly recommend to anyone interested in fashion and design.
This is an approach to sewing that "beginners" can appreciate...and enjoy nice results from. While it does include the principles of measuring and pinning, it starts out with the "freedom" of cutting the major pieces to suit yourself - gotta love that! This is the type of book that encourages people to start experimenting with their store-bought clothes - jazzing them up to suit themselves as well. Anyone who has even remotely thought about dragging the sewing machine out "one day" - this is the book that will encourage you to not only drag it out and set it up...but keep it out. People spend days in front of computer games and have nothing to show for it. Spend the same amount of time (for just one weekend) playing with this book and your clothes, and you'll emerge with a satisfying new hobby! And, yes; you'll have to learn how to modestly say, "Oh, this? I made it myself!"
It's good for getting a few ideas. Mostly, the stuff is on a free web site to which the book directs you. I haven't actually tried downloading any of the patterns yet, but I'm not really a fan of printing out pdf files and piecing patterns together from small pieces. When I get the time and can try out some of the stuff, I might give it more stars. I didn't actually see anything I would want to wear myself, but I saw a couple of things that might work for my granddaughter, with a few modifications.
I've been an avid seamstress for many years and always like to find ways to reuse and recycle remnants of fabric and older clothing too.
The pros of this book
Some creative ways to use t-shirts and make some brand new looks from them.
The Colorblock T shirt Dress is SO cute. And what a great idea to upcycle 3 t-shirts that you might not want to wear as shirts anymore. The instructions are very easy to follow too.
The Effortless Caftan is an easy one as well, if you are looking for a lounging dress that would cost next to nothing to make.
The 15 Minute Convertible Dress is ok too, but I don't think it could be made in that short of time.
The cons the photos are very small throughout this book and even zoomed in, are still hard to see all of the details of each item.
The other patterns in this book I wasn't impressed with.
The pleated "skirt" looked more like a little scooter, not what I expected, based on the name Romantic Box Pleated Skirt.
The Jeweled T shirt is just plain ugly!
If you are in need of some inspiration for recycling some t shirts or have some knit fabric you want to use up, check this book out.
